Submersible Precision Cleaning Systems

Ultrasonic cleaning systems depend on the electronic transmission of piezo-electric cells to create the ultrasound in the cleaning solution. In most cases, the transducers are an integral part of the cleaning machine, attached either to the sides or the base of the cleaning tank.

Alternatively, there may be a requirement in a factory that has its own static tanks, or where these may be part of a continuously moving conveyor system. In this sort of case, the ultrasound can be introduced by using a submersible transducer pack.

In this case, transducers are contained within a watertight stainless steel enclosure and connected remotely to a generator assembly. The pack is then immersed in the cleaning tank and ultrasound introduced as a separate, optional cleaning device.

The primary advantage of this method is its flexibility. Ultrasonic cleaning capability can be moved easily to different points in the production process as required, without the need for complex and expensive equipment to be installed at every stage. It can also be used tactically, in conjunction with standard spray washing and pump-driven agitation methods.

Submersible transducer units come in a wide variety of sizes and power ratings, usually ranging from 600 to 3600 watts per unit. They can be attached in a fixed position inside a cleaning tank, moved manually from one location to the next, or mounted on an automatic handling device, such as a hydraulic conveyor, which can move the unit to different parts of the cleaning cycle as determined by the manufacturing process.
