SG93	GENERAL DESCRIPTION A refurbished Guyson Multiblast Model TR Beadblast Machine having a continuously moving belt conveyor which transports the components to be processed through the machine. The type of conveyor can be altered to suit individual applications. S/N SG93 BLAST CABINET The blast enclosure is divided into sections – entrance, blasting and exit (which incorporates the airwash system). Each chamber is separated to prevent airborne dust being carried outside the blast enclosure. The cabinet is lined with rubber sheet for protection against overblast and also reduces noise levels. CONVEYOR AND DRIVE MECHANISM The conveyor is a flat belt on which at 100mm spacing component location blocks attached. Conveyor is driven by a fractional horsepower motor driving through a reduction gearbox. The speed of traverse is controlled by a speed controller. Normal speeds 2.5 and 3 metres/minute. The conveyor extends outside the cabinet approx 500mm on both the inlet and exit for loading and unloading components. BLAST SYSTEM The blast cabinet is fitted with 6 off Guyson Model 900 suction feed blast guns. Blast Gun Model : 400 Gun Body Material : Aluminium Nozzle Material : Tungsten Carbide Nozzle Bore : 8mm Airjet Bore : 2.8mm Air Consumption per gun @ 5 bar : 0.5m³/min Each blast gun is mounted on a fully adjustable support arm. A regulator and gauge is fitted so the blast pressure can be adjusted to suit the application. Each blast gun is fitted with solenoid operated valves therefore guns and their individual blast pressures can be selected for different applications. Airwash Compressed air is directed at the component(s) through 2 off coanda nozzles. The airwash system in the conveyor range of cabinets is located in the enclosed exit section of the cabinet. CYCLONE MEDIA RECLAMATOR A Model CY600/12 cyclone reclamator is included in the system. This unit fits between the blast cabinet and dust collector as part of the extraction system. The system works by extracting everything at the bottom of the cabinet using the airflow generated by the cyclone and dust collector fans. The material removed from the hopper will consist of good re-usable media, broken down media and material removed from the component that has been blasted. The function of the cyclone is to separate out the re-usable media from the dust, debris and undersized media. Reclamator ensures consistent blasting performance, only re-usable media is re-circulated to the blast guns. The blast guns are interlocked to the cyclone (and dust collector) extraction motor, so that the guns will not blast unless these motors are running. There is an inbuilt time delay between the start of the dust collector and cyclone motors to allow the dust collector motor to run up to full speed before the cyclone motor starts.
